Medical Home Network (MHN), a nationally recognized non-profit dedicated to transforming care in the safety net, today welcomes Henish Bhansali, MD, as Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Bhansali brings deep experience in both value-based care and community healthcare to his role at MHN with over 12 years of experience in healthcare management, medical education, and healthcare consulting. He is an accomplished leader, and his addition to the MHN team comes at an important time for the organization as it continues to expand its impact, which includes partnering with federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) across the country to help them succeed under value-based care.

He joins MHN from Duly Health and Care (formerly DuPage Medical Group), where he was Senior Vice President and Medical Director of Medicare Advantage, responsible for value-based care model design and delivery for Medicare Advantage patients across the full care continuum. Earlier in his career, Dr. Bhansali was a Senior Medical Director at Oak Street Health and an Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago, with both positions focused on the care of Medicaid and dual-eligible patients.

“I am passionate about transforming healthcare for low-income, disenfranchised patients, who are often underserved and face barriers to accessing healthcare,” said Dr. Bhansali. “I look forward to leading MHN’s clinical team and strengthening the important work they’re doing to empower FQHCs to meet the whole person needs of the patients they serve.”

In addition to his professional positions, Dr. Bhansali is a member of the NAACOS Education Committee and the Partnership for Quality Measurement-Cost and Efficiency Committee.

“Dr. Bhansali’s deep experience in value-based care and Medicare make him a perfect addition to our leadership team,” said Cheryl Lulias, CEO of MHN. “His experience and passion will no doubt elevate the work we do to transform care in the safety net.”

Dr. Bhansali is a board-certified internal and obesity medicine physician who earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his internal medicine residency at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
