Medical Home Network Donates Face Shields to Healthcare Workers in Cook County

Many healthcare workers on the front lines of COVID-19 response need resources, including personal protective equipment, to continue to do their job safely.

The ten Federally Qualified Health Centers, three hospital systems, and their physician practices that comprise MHN ACO continue to play a crucial role in Cook County to help patients and their families navigate COVID-19.

Care teams at MHN ACO providers are reaching out to high-risk patients to do wellness checks – screening for COVID-19 symptoms and ensuring they have the supplies they need, like food and prescription medications – while under Governor Pritzker’s Shelter in Place order.

To support efforts in Cook County, Medical Home Network donated more than 11,000 face shields to MHN ACO providers from Eichrom Technologies LLC.

“Words cannot express how much we appreciate the help during this pandemic. Your generous contribution allows our organization to continue to impact the communities we serve,” said Jim Caporusso, Vice President of External Affairs, Aunt Martha’s Health and Wellness.

Based out of Lisle, Illinois, Eichrom Technologies typically manufactures products for nuclear plants. Now they are planning to make 10,000 face shields a week.
