Strategic Initiatives Analyst

The Strategic Initiatives Associate will work closely with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to support the development of MHN’s strategy, business planning and also assist in the implementation of key strategic initiatives. The Strategic Initiatives Associate will have the opportunity to own and drive mission-critical projects while also working with leadership, gain cross functional experience, and contribute to the mission of Medical Home Network to transform healthcare in the safety net.

They will provide proactive and insightful analyses and play a key role in the development of long term strategic business plans through research and analyses, and will also support the implementation success of key strategic initiatives.

This is a very fluid, dynamic role and priorities may change often, as organizational strategies and short term priorities change.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct financial, market, and operational analysis to guide MHN’s short and long term strategic goals and the positioning of MHN’s strategic initiatives
  • Develop frameworks or work plans to prioritize and sequence activities to deliver on initiatives
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define, execute solutions and enable implementation success
  • Build impactful relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and with external partners
  • Perform analysis of situations / issues and make recommendations to overcome complex problems
  • Support preparation of executive-level presentations for senior leadership
  • Work on other duties and projects as assigned


  • 2-4 years of healthcare experience in strategy development, operations and/or project management experience in implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build trust with key stakeholders with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with an attention for detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Powerpoint and Excel required
  • Welcome abiguity, possess a high level of initiative and enjoy figuring out the solution
  • Take ownership and drive for results

Additional Qualifications

2-3 years of management consulting experience preferred

Medicaid or Medicare experience preferred

Advanced degree in healthcare, such as MBA, MPH or MHA preferred
