Job Summary

The Data Analyst Intern will support the data and analytic needs of a broad range of data warehousing projects, clinical initiatives, and financial analyses. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to population health analyses, clinical workflows, dashboard development, product development, medical cost containment analyses, and machine-learning projects.

The ideal candidate is currently enrolled, or recently graduated from, a graduate program and is looking for an opportunity where they can use their healthcare knowledge to enhance their programming and data-analytic skills.


  • Learn techniques to validate, analyze, summarize and visualize healthcare data
  • Gain experience working with reporting and analytic tools including MS Excel, MS SQL Server, Python, mySQL, and SAS.
  • Execute on analytic directives from senior staff with assistance and direction from other team members
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical staff


  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with statistical software like SPSS, SAS, Stata, or R
  • Team player both within and across teams
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn as deomonstrated by a curious and analytical mind


  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, statistics, public health or a comparable program with a quantitative emphasis. Advanced degree or pursuit of an advanced degree preferred.
