SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR



JOB SUMMARY

The Systems Administrator is responsible to the Controller for adjusting, monitoring, troubleshooting and overall efficient operation of the systems at Medical Home Network (MHN).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure that MHN’s systems are operational – network, phones, copier/printers etc.
  • Recommend and implement changes to enhance security and operational efficiency
  • Participate as part of the Compliance and Risk Management Committee to ensure that MHN is best in class on security and risk management practices and systems
  • Document all systems and protocols and any changes made
  • Manage Active Directory(AD) environment. This includes user administration (create, change, delete, access rights) and AD environment monitoring
  • Manage MHN servers and hosting
  • Manage Medical Home Network’s SharePoint environment. This includes user administration (create, change, delete, access rights)
  • Work with external vendors on second level troubleshooting and support – ensure that users of all external systems have the appropriate support for issues
  • Serve as in-house help-desk to approximately 40 users
  • Manage end user equipment (laptops, phones, projectors etc.)  Recommend appropriate hardward and software solutions
  • Onsite support may include hardware or software installation, troubleshooting, training, or other tasks as requested
  • Troubleshoots and restores technical service and equipment problems by analyzing, identifying and diagnosing faults and symptoms using established processes and procedures
  • Provide technical advice, guidance and informal training to staff using hardware and software programs                                                                   
  • Perform root cause analysis and develops checklists for typical problems
  • Work with contracted external vendor for issues requiring higher level assistance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
